Notes

The following notes apply to Choice Band, Choice Specs, and Choice Scarf.

  • If the holder became active due to U-turn, it can't choose any other move for use in the Diamond and Pearl version if it has U-turn. Otherwise, the first move used is reset.
  • If the holder became active due to Baton Pass, Lunar Dance, or Healing Wish, the first move used is reset.
  • The Choice items share the same move; the effect is not removed if the holder loses one Choice item and gains either the same item or a different one with Trick or Switcheroo. These three items also ignore moves used by other moves.
  • The Choice item effect also applies to the use of Pursuit as a Pokémon is about to switch. However, in the Japanese language version of Diamond and Pearl, if during the first use of Pursuit the target faints, the holder is not prevented from choosing a different move next round.

The Griseous Orb, introduced in the Platinum version, multiplies the power of Dragon- and Ghost-type attacks by the holder by 12/10. However, unlike the similar Adamant Orb and Lustrous Orb, the Griseous Orb can be held only by Giratina.

Revive: Unlike in older versions, if a Pokémon it was revived after it used to be an active Pokémon, it doesn't become active again.
